48 Welbeck Street
Service: Fit Out
Sector: Healthcare
Welbeck Street in Marylebone has been historically associated with the medical profession. The striking townhouse of 48 Welbeck Street is no exception and serves as a self-contained medical building.
The Grade II listed building was once occupied by Natural Philosopher Thomas Young from 1773 – 1829. Such an important building in history and in modern day medicine needed to look great internally and externally as well as be fitted with the most up-to-date tech.
The expert team at BSPS were called upon to carry out repairs on the roof and windows, brick pointing as well as a full CAT A fit out which included all finishes to the floors, ceiling and walls along with new bathrooms.
As well as helping the building look great, the team also installed a new fire alarm system, lights, fittings as well as a fan coil and condensers. The team worked quickly and efficiently despite the challenge of only one entrance door and limited access to the rear elevation for the scaffolding installation.
The building now feels and looks clean, bright and sleek externally and internally, and is ready to welcome medical professionals.
