London Welsh Centre
Service: Refurbishment
Sector: Commercial
The London Welsh Centre has been a firm fixture on Grays Inn Road since 1937. With the mission to promote Welsh culture and language, the Centre is popular for community activities and events that champion Welsh talent.
The striking red brick building is within the Holborn conservation area and is easily noticed. However, some internal work was required to keep the inside as smart as the outside. The expert team at BSPS were called in to get the walls and ceilings looking like new and to create some bespoke bathrooms within the building.
Internal partitions and suspended ceiling were created as well as decoration to make the communal areas feel fresh
and new and doors on bespoke steel frames and floor finishes were installed.
Each of the stunning bathrooms has been given a different colour of wall tile that match the internal frame of the door which are all sleek, modern and colourful. The team also installed new mechanical and electrical services such as new light fittings and fire alarm system as well as brand new sanitaryware in the bathrooms.
Despite working with a very detailed design to fit in an existing space as well as bespoke finishes and details, the team worked efficiently and completed the work with minimal disruption – even with the building being occupied.
