76 Chancery Lane
Service: Decoration & Restoration
Sector: Retail
Chancery Lane is a quintessential London Street, nestled between Fleet Street and High Holborn. With traditional red brick buildings, long-standing retailers and the famous Law Society building, it’s a fantastic place to live and work.
To ensure that the part retail and part residential building at 76 Chancery Lane was fitting in with its neighbours, the expert team at BSPS were asked to work on the exterior of the structure.
The team repaired the external stonework, brickwork and pointing. They also installed three brand-new, bespoke lead flat roofs as well as a pitched roof and redecoration of all previously painted surfaces. Because of the age of the building, the roofs had to be designed and constructed to allow the new lead to be laid in accordance with the Lead Sheet manual. The new roofs blend in seamlessly with the rest of the building.
The team worked professionally and with minimal disturbance to the public on the busy street and barrister’s chambers within the basement, to the side and rear of the building.
The building is now in fantastic shape and will continue to be a part of this historic part of London.
