The communal stair in a flat is just as important as the apartment itself. For residents and visitors, it needs to be clean, practical and comfortable but also reflect the style of the building and interiors of the flats.

BSPS was asked to completely refurbish the common areas of two large Victorian terrace houses near Regent’s Park in London.

The work was requested by The Crown Estate and involved redecoration, electrical re-wiring, a new feature ceiling, wall lights and new floor finishes.

Bespoke post boxes were created to ensure that residents’ mail was secure, and beautiful Victorian floor tiles were installed within the entrance, highlighting the architecture of the building as well as creating both a warm welcome for residents and a striking first impression for visitors.
