MXL Centre, Banbury

Service: Refurbishment

Sector: Industrial

The MXL Centre was established in 1996 as a four-unit industrial warehouse with offices, conveniently located near the M40, east of Banbury town centre.

To welcome new tenants, industry leaders in gas-fired boilers and water heater manufactures, Lochinvar, Unit 7 of the centre required a complete refurbishment.

The expert team at BSPS were called in for the project which involved painting, carpet replacement, jet washing, paving and cladding repairs, external spraying, steelworks reinforcement, solar panel fitting and more. Mechanical and engineering work included fitting a new A/C and heating system, new sockets, and internal lights.

As the MXL Centre is a steel portal frame building under a pitched steel roof, the team had to coordinate this while fitting new solar panels to fit with the structural design. A specialist consultant was also called upon to create a new application for waterproofing gutters.

The unit is now bang up to date and sustainable – complete with electric vehicle charging points.
